I need to say that I have facebook account, but only cause my friends ALWAYS tells me to do account on this boring as shit piece of junk. I hate it. But sometimes I need it to talk with my old friends and question ppl from my class: "Hey! Have we got that stupid exam tomorrow?" and etc XD

I am the only person I know that is not on Facebook, and I am considered βweird.β It is the most antisocial thing I have ever seen and is just plain retarded.
I actually got an email from a company I buy from saying they were having a contest to win free groceries⦠I went to the link, and in order to enter the contest, you had to like them on Facebook.
I immediately went to their website and sent a curt, semi-polite e-mail saying they should not assume everyone is on Facebook and as a devoted customer, it is not fair to offer contests outside their own website. Ridiculousβ¦

I just use my account to talk to friends that I don't get to see often or keep up with family and friends social lives. Basically just as a second means of communication if my phone dies or if i'm bored and want to look at some funny pictures.

I don't like the Facebook obsession. I especially resent being excluded from offers or competitions because you have to go through some company's Facebook page. I used to have a Facbook account but in the end I found it very boring and silly - and there are so many strange people!!! Also, I didn't realise how much information I was giving away about myself - that was my own fault of course.
I agree that its handy to keep in touch with friends and family but there are other ways of doing so and I can't say I miss Facebook at all.
