(it's an act. Fell & Edge don't really enjoy hurting one another because they are brothers, they do it to protect one another. they're probably closer than most other Sans & Papyrus because of this.)Β

undyne is a heroine, as the game states, because she is willing to do his best to protect everyone and avenge the fallen guards.
Sans saw perfectly well what frisk were doing and didnt move a finger, not even to prevent his brother from fighting frisk or to help him in battle, or to avenge him..... nothing.
Calling sans a hero is a terrible misuse of the word.

The Genocide route is frankly speaking extremely boring. You just walk alone to the creepy music, kill everyone you meet and then walk alone some more. Nothing happens. The only worthy parts are Undyne and Sans fights. Sans truly opens up to the killer and tells stuff he never told the pacifist. It sheds some light on his person, but then again confuses even more. After everything is said and done, all we can do is quote Toriel: who the hell is Sans? Even his defeat is so mysterious - does he die? does he turn to dust like the rest? why does he bleed? How can he still walk after being hit with 9999999 power? All those questions will never be answered. All we are left to do is theorize and make up stuff on our own. But that's the best part of Undertale I guess.
