Description
The thick wood of the deck creaked and groaned as the sails lazily billowed forward, catching the night’s gentle breeze as The Narbrough passed through the heads of Nevarra. Aboard the robust transport vessel was a crew of twenty-some men, wearing thin tunics and leathers, staving off work-rash from between their thighs as they worked to keep the magnificent ship operational.
The Captain stood next to his First-mate, manning the helm, as he poured over maps and compasses, often looked up at the stars with navigational devices. A shout from the crew drew his attention; a rigging knot had worked itself loose and was dangerously close to snapping.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I was drafting stories last night.
