"The Generator, It's going to blow!" An echo was heard throughout the area, as a Worker Pony swiftly galloped towards the foreman's building, upon reaching, he frantically knocks on the two large front doors. "Mr Foreman? Mr Foreman!" Not waiting for a response, he opens the door and lefts himself in, to he is greeted with 5 pairs of eyes, watching him in complete confusion.

He spoke, with a quick tone saying; "Mr Foreman! The Generator! Something needs to be-"

"Hey hey now" The foreman's voice was agitated and serious. "What have I told you about barging in without permission?!"

Worker: "Sir... Please, I'ts urgent!" He tried to level and tone down his fast breathing.

The foreman, after eyeing the others, said, "Go on?"

Worker: "Look, the generator has being going on overdrive for a while and It's going to malfunction or even explode!"

One of the leading Engineer Ponies have a skeptical frown and spoke in a critical tone, "And what makes you so certain? I highly doubt you know the slightest thing about how machines work".

Worker: "Please, please just look!"

One of the engineers peered outside and almost instantly reacted with a horrified expression, shoving the worker out. "Get out! now!" Being shoved right out, and the doors slammed behind him, he then started to hear loud voices from inside the building. Curious onlookers gathered, some looked alarmed of the generators state, yet none dared to touch it. Derpy, being close by, looked concerned and approached the worker. "W-what's going on?"

Loud clangs of metal was heard from the generator, seeming to make some people panic. A heated muffle argument was heard in the building. "We cannot give up a whole steam core for that, Look, we have other alternati-" "Yeah!? And what would that be?" They seemed to be cutting each other off. "Send Dinky! Shes a small enough child to fit in there, she can fix this!"- "But that would kill her!"- "And?! Who cares! There are so many peoples lives at stake here!" . . . . . "Hes got a point... the life of one for all?" There was a small silence.

The worker, surprised turned back to Derpy, her expression was horrified, she went pale, murmuring to herself, starting to tear up. "No... no not Dinky". She flew away to fetch her child to hide from what were, from her perspective, heartless monsters.

A red Engineer Pony, Dressed in a dark grey coat slammed the door open, scanning the area. Spotting her flying away, he turned back to the foreman. "Sir! Shes getting away!" The foreman was irritated. "Well? Go get her! We can't put everybodies lives at risk for her sake!" The Red engineer motioned to the other 3 engineers to come with him.

Four ponies exited the Foreman's building, they galloped, and one flew, scanning the area for the two runaway ponies. The worker, among many, looked greatly concerned, yet hopeless as all he could do was watch.

The search group already had experience in finding the runaways, therefore, they were swift at their job, the Head of engineers saying. "Quick! They can't be far."

Derpy hid with her child in a small abandoned mine entrance, she was tearing, and shaking due to the bitter cold. "Mommie? What's wrong? I'ts cold, can we go ba-mm!" Her voice was hushed by her mothers hoof, "Shh, they must not hear us". She cuddled her tightly, holding back her horrified emotions, crying softly. "But mu-mm!" She was silenced again. "Please... please be quiet dear". Derpy's voice was trembling, her daughter stood silent. Distant voices were heard, which made them both freeze.

"Stop!" The pegesus Engineer yelled. "Look, hoof prints, they must be close!"

"Forward! We can't lose time!"

Their steps could be heard, closer and closer. Derpy was shaking, yet out of fear for her child. She saw a glint in her eye, it was their lights, She looked horrified, sobbing quietly.

"Hold it! They must be here...." The two held their breath. As Derpy knew what would happen if they found them......

She whispered into her daughters ear. "I love you, dear." Dinky looked confused, as they approached nearer "I love you too mum". This made Derpy burst into tears, not being able to control herself, she alerted the engineers. The Head of Engineers spoke up, "Hey! Over there!" Derpy turned, horrified, she felt as if she had killed her own daughter. . . . . . .
