Description
This is something I drew last year for a fren... Frankly speaking I wasnt sure how i would draw the body of the dragon so I just gave in to my laziness and ended it there xD... I really love dragons but I dun draw them alot coz I suck in drawing dragons... *psst i had abit of reference in drawing the dragon's head here*Im a big fan of dragons... dun ask me why but i juz love them xD
Done in watercolour... took about an hour plus

I don't think any specific techniques were used. Just keep in mind you can only go from light to dark and the less layers you have the better

I like how the head's detail flows so smoothly into the abstract lines of the body... it's like the dragon is coalescing out of flame. ^..^

there are LOTSA things to try out to make any kinds of special effects..
umm well basically, u can use a toothbrush to make some kind of spraying effects, using eraser(the blue coloured hard 1) to create blurry effect, using window cleaner(i'm not kidding

oh i forgot to ask u one thing... what kind of paper do u use to do watercolour paintings? I seem to be able to use 1 kind of paper only...

I've only learnt how to draw sceneries all these years... and even with these few years of practice... my watercolour still not of standard yet... everytime it just feels like its lacking smth... >.<

Very nice variation in and use of colour, reminds me of an Enso circle painting. Very balanced, yet powerful and inspiring.
