Taken on the 15th of March 2010 at Cabarita Beach, New South Wales.Shot with a Canon 7D, 10-22mm lens, Lee GND filters and a Hoya ndx400.

How did you get the colours on the rocks so vivid?

Thanks! It's mainly due to the neutral density filter I used, which slows down the shutterspeed which in turn enables the sensor to record data a little more accurately during the harsh midday sun where shutterspeeds normally need to be very quick to obtain an even exposure.

aaah lovely Cabarita.
Great memories of my younger days as a surfer living in Bogangar when there was nothing more than the pub, the chip shop and the general store.
I havent been back since 1980. Im told I wouldnt recognise the place.
We would drive home from seeing bands at Kingscliff on a moon lit night and turn off the headlights coz there was no sign of light to stop your eyes adjusting.

Hi, glad you like it. I used 2 grad nd's to help expose the sky properly and the 10stop ND filter to give a longer exposure helping to saturate the colors in the bright midday sun. (6 seconds at about 2pm is pretty good)
