Olin joku aika sitten kotipaikkani yhdellä linnavuorella ja löysin sieltä muutaman kivisokkelin sieltä. Halusin siis piirtää luonnoksen miltä se olisi voinut näyttää. Suomessa linnavuoria käytettiin vain yhdennäköisinä turvapaikkoina jos vihollinen hyökkäisi. Tämä on pohjoinen puoli mäestä ja kuvassa näkyvä kivijalka sekä seinämä ovat suoraan sieltä.

In english:

I was a few day in one of my hometown's hill forts exploring the area and found some plinths out there. I wanted to draw a drawing of what it could have been looked alike. In Finland, Hill forts were only a one kind of safe places if enemy attacked. This is the northern side of hill, and the plinth and cliffside in this picture is straight from there.

It is my home communes hillfort or actually my vision what it could've been looked like! The only part which still is clearly seen in ground is stone plinth and mostly this drawing's stone plinth is based on the real's one!

This is the third hill fort of my home commune, but there are so many others here in Finland, who knows if thousands!

My personal favourite of the bands is Leevi and the Leavings, a countryside music group, unfortunately the head master of band, Gösta Sundqvist is dead!

Well because I love Metal music I listen a lot to Bands like Nightwish, Wintersun, Moonsorrow and Apocalyptica.

I'm from Germany yup. I live in a small town that lies at the edge to austria. I never where in Finland but like I said Skandinavian Metal Bands are very well known by germans.

nop XD At Artschool I got one year of french and that was enough for me to know that that's not my language. XD But my teacher always said that I wasn't bad at it. But I didn't enjoyed it much. But at some schools you have to choose thats right.

Thanks Avery! It is based on my home commune's hill fort, which plint still exists. There are many other beautiful things in there but i decided to draw this as a base to the old plint. Finnish people used to hide to some hill forts and there are many known places in Finland, such as Old castle of Lieto and this is the third small fort of Nousiainen, my home town's, which name is Koljola!

Damn if i would have a USB cable to my phone i would right away publish pictures of the area!

Thanks! I live in Finland, i know the location of this fort, and i've been there few times! Trust me: It is the most perfect place in my hometown, there are one natural well, some old plint ruins which refers to a fortifications for as a safe place, and a group of low gulleys from which you could see in your mind they could be somekind of passages getting people or animals to safe or even old dockplaces.

It is just that great place!

Wow that does sound like a great place i live in texas there are some great places of history here too some of them i havent been too but i have been to a few i cant remember which ones i wish there were some mountains where i live i would love to but up there just gazing down at the land below

Well, actually this is locally great place but not so important as is Old castle of Lieto. Is there in Texas some kind of military fortifications? At least there are some waterfalls aren't there? Would be a great to see a one!

Well the only military fortification i know of here in texas is the alamo as in the one in the battle of the alamo as for waterfalls there are a couple like gorman falls in colorado and hamilton pool in austin
