Description I must learn to work GIMP's Perspective tool.

The second manipulation for you guys this weekend. I'll try to have another out but I have some four hours of mandatory shopping and a birthday party to attend tomorrow, but we'll see what happens.

The eye was provided by the wonderful *ThePurpleWind who is by far my favorite male eye stock artist.
Thank you so much buddy.
I'm finally happy I could do something with your stocks.

Just another practice piece, I finally realized I need to become friends with the perspective tool.
And fast.

The texture is one of my own.
Just a small brush repeated randomly in a small area, the duplicated, flipped, cropped and repeated until I get the desired size.
It's nothing special.

And I lost the name of the artists who made the star brush. It's somewhere on my computer.
But unfortunately I can't find it.
I'm sorry!

Again, I'll try to have another manipulation out.
If not, please don't hold it against me.
Remember, I really do love you guys.

I actually created a few eye manipulation tutorials for others with GIMP.
Feel free to take a look around and see if you can find anything helpful.

I haven't the slightest idea, but I know many people would certainly miss it.

Wow, this is really stellar. I love the starry/sandy effect outside the eye as well. (The eye? lol!)
To be honest, I didn't even notice it was me to start with. XD

It does remind me of the deep blue sea at night.

Thanks. It's about time for me to do another session. I have some more ideas in mind to switch things up a bit.

I'll try to get the least amount of background out of the pic. I know that's annoying.

Onyx-Tigeress In reply to GekkouKitsune [2011-02-19 06:02:28 +0000 UTC]

Thank you.
Yeah, it's very subtle. I can see missing it completely.

I thought the same thing actually.

You're welcome. I await your next batch anxiously.

Oh, don't worry about that.
The background can be used in different situations, but this time I just wanted the eye.

GekkouKitsune In reply to Onyx-Tigeress [2011-02-19 06:22:09 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, a background full of bathroom cleaning supplies....

Welcome, my pleasure, always

Onyx-Tigeress In reply to GekkouKitsune [2011-02-19 06:23:54 +0000 UTC]

Okay, well maybe solid colors are better?
But there's nothing wrong with having some background.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

GekkouKitsune In reply to Onyx-Tigeress [2011-02-19 06:32:27 +0000 UTC]

Of course not, but when it's not exactly a good background subject, it just doesn't flow with the pic whether it's used or not.
I'll try to get the next ones in my bathroom where the mirror is higher.

Whatever you think is best.

Again, thank you. And I'll keep an eye out for the pics.
