This OC is in the same world as Cio, Yu Lin and the Inkblots

Name: Mielle
Eye colour: Purple
Hair colour: golden brown
Height: 5' 2"

Mielle was originally meant to be the side character in Cio's story. However, her author thought her story was a bit too boring and decided to scrap her.
As a result of the discarding, as it happens to any scrapped character, Mielle did not get to finish her journey from Imagination, where all characters are born, to their destined land, Inspiration, where final stories come to fruition.
Instead, she was taken off the path by a mysterious black and ink-like carriage, complete with 2 large stagecoaches who were similarly ominous and inky, and taken to the wasteland called The Block.

The Block is a large city inhabited by the discarded characters, who are now known as Inkblots.
Inkblots have no memory of their original storylines, characteristics, personalities, etc when they first enter the black gates of the Block.
Gradually, they regain these informations but at the same time they deteriorate. Their bodies begin to turn papery and flake off in sheets of old parchment. Ink drips from their eyes, ears, noses, and mouths.
The deterioration is slow, usually. But it speeds up the more active the character is (i.e. a character that actively looks for a way out of the Block or tries to interact with the surrounding denizens. There is no obvious way to escape from the city.
The layout of the city takes on the characteristics of the settings of the Inkblots' original stories. Characters with similar settings tend to aggregate subconsciously and so there are quarters in the cities that are like ship-ports, old market stalls from Arabian nights, etc. Although the Block is a 'city' no one actually runs the city or manages the denizens. It is a spot of strong magic and fate and holds itself together thanks to the spiraling power at its center, that draws all discarded characters to its center.
When characters deteriorate completely, they are nothing but paper and ink.

In Mielle and Cio's story, she is a rich citizen who often steals, even though she has a large sack of coins with her at all times.
She is incredibly miserly and selfish and would even steal from the poor, just to save a few coins.
In the plot of their story, Cio is meant to steal her coin bag because he's actually in need of coins and she only catches up to him after the theft and after he spends all the coins on food and buying a few chickens and sheep from the market. She goes nuts and rages on him, demanding that he return all the money. He obviously cannot and so she tags along with him until she collects the whole debt.

Anyway, Cio realises someone who was travelling with him from Imagination has disappeared from the group. He only remembers that she had honey brown hair and a bad personality. Nonetheless, he leaves the path on his own to try to look for her.
Eventually, he finds the Block (you can always notice a black haze in the distance, but Cio managed to luck out and head directly towards it and the silhouette eventually became sharp).
No one guards the gates, so he simply entered it.
He learns that he can blend in with the inkblots by adding ink to his eyes and mouth and acting as inconspicuous as he can when any denizen is nearby.

another thing: Cio actually replaces a character named Yu Lin, who is also now stuck in the Block. She realises with mounting anger about how she was discarded and knows a bit about Cio since the author had formations of him in mind while writing her story. Eventually the author scrapped her story and worked on Cio and Mielle's story. Yu Lin can hardly suppress her rage when she spots Cio wandering in the Block.
