This drawing will explain why there is not a single tower in this desert, where ezzo hive was located. To put it bluntly, ezzo ate them. Previously, these lands were a flowering jungle, cleared of metaplasia and technologies of the old humanity.

Now the jungle has become a desert due to the fact that the once very young Church, in order to repel the aliens, restarted the net of towers that surrounded the planet with a barrier and which immediately began to destroy the overgrown hive on the surface, which affected the climate and ecosystem.

Damaged or dropout towers were automatically replaced with more mobile devices that could hold the planet's defenses. The old humanity took good care of the defense: the barrier was not broken even if several towers failed. Thus, these cubic structures appeared on the territory of Teotzintli, which received the letter A, since their appearance was preceded by a tower that once stood here. And because of their excessive radiation, there is still no life here. Church fears that if the security level of the megaliths is lowered, the hive may begin to grow again.

And so it’s not far before the revival of Overseer...
