About what happened after the previous drawing, when DD was sent to the Inner Surface, you can find here. This is the very beginning of the second arc, which tells about the adventures of DD in this underworld.

But the continuation of Stinky's story takes us to the final 3rd story arc - End of Times, when the surface of the planet became uninhabitable, civilization was destroyed, and the war between Coalition and Church no longer made sense. DD, having made a deal with Prophet, was able to escape from Inner Surface, but now wherever she went, the machines of the old humanity hunted her.

But what happened to the city during the absence of DD?

From the cataclysms that shook the earth, no one could hide. Shardopolis, although an underground city, suffered no less than the others. The people who survived the death of the world, hiding in the ruins of this city, huddled in gangs, but the two largest of them stood out, retaining a fraction of the order of the old world.

-The first of them was the one that the locals used to call the Manor. Headquarters of Shardopolis Manufactories and the main estate of Zei family. The heiress of this family, instead of a personal small empire, when the cataclysm occurred, inherited only the ruins of the city. In this place, she held the order by cruel tyranny in which the survivors could receive food and shelter in exchange for unquestioning obedience. Even after the end of time, Zei remain themselves.

-The second large group was the members of Ulvastri family, who by the power of faith, like six hundred years ago, were able to unite people around them in order to survive. They differed in that they accepted into their ranks former prisoners from colonies and isolation wards. In other words, criminals. Ulvastri believed that even the most lost soul has a chance for redemption.

It was in the Ulvastrian sect that Stinky ended up. Members of this sect rescued her from her prison cell when the prisoners were left to die in prisons, because there was no one else to guard them. Stinky gratefully accepted the help, although she was not devout, she decided to stay with the priests. After all, she hated the heiress, that nasty blonde who used to poison her life every day. So she definitely would not go to live in the Manor, she was no longer going to endure humiliation as before.

Meanwhile, relations between Manor and Ulvastri grew tense every day. The heiress found a way to shield Manor, making it invisible to the machines of the old humanity that constantly attacked her people. However, such "protection" attracted the attention of machines even more, although they stopped seeing Manor, but there were more and more of them in the city. All attacks now fell on Ulvastri, from which they suffered losses every day.

At this moment, DD reappears in the city. A mud-smeared creature with insane eyes. No one could have imagined what she had to go through. Accidentally wandering into the territory of Ulvastri, she was expected by a chance meeting with her former personal doctor, Stinky. The meeting was so touching that words cannot describe.

Stinky couldn't believe her eyes at first. The elevators to Inner Surface hadn't been working for a long time. It was impossible to escape from there. And just as impossible to argue with reality, DD was right in front of her.

And she held DD's fragile neck in her hands.
