Smothering.Those words cutting deep,
caressing my fragile soul.
Fearful but hopeful,
where does it go from here?
Approaching a bridge burned years before,
can it be salvaged ...
Scorching.
Bruised at heart
silently screaming, hours passing.
Suffocating.
Wings tattered and torn,
allow me the right to spread them.
Mind games of a dangerous sort,
craving the pure sensation of happiness.
Broken.

I did a similar thing with my piece "Broken". I use my writing to express myself, otherwise I'd drown in my own thoughts.
