I never really thought of Feebas to Milotic as transgender, just as a classic ugly-duckling scenario

A) There are less offensive ways to phrase it.
B) A fantasy animal-esque fighting machine isn't transgender.
C) A transgender person doesn't have 'two selves', that's called DID.
D) Transgendered is incorrect phrasing.

I'm not offended, but that could just be me. I WANT to change, to transverse this bridge between gender.

Hakudoushii appears to have blocked me, so I'm going to say this here. Don't worry about them. They appear to be part of the social justice movement fighting against "transtrenders", which are allegedly people who transition for fun. I'm going to say this now, no one transitions unless they are some form of trans*. There are no "true trans*", nor are there transtrenders. Not wanting SRS does not keep you from being a "real" man or woman.
Hakudoushii, you need to pull the stick out of your ass and stop being rude to allies. If they're being bad allies, insensitive and rude, then fine. But people who care and are simply ignorant of the language surrounding the trans* community need to be given the benefit of the doubt. There are too many transphobes out there, we don't need to be poisoning people's perceptions by being jerks to them.
And for future reference, it's just transgender, as in "I am a transgender person". "Transgendered" would imply that someone made me transgender. You wouldn't say, "This is my friend, Bobby. He's gayed." would you?

I made a deviantArt account so I could share my opinion on this.
As a trangender woman, I did not think this was offensive at all. Let me repeat: I did not think this was offensive at all. In fact, this is one of the most sensitive things I've seen about trans* issues from a non-trans person in a very long time. There are a lot of very confusing terms in the trans* community and I don't think it's fair to expect everyone to know those terms. I understand that you used the best resources you had and I applaud you for taking the time to actually learn a little bit.
Feebas to Milotic is a very power transformation and from the start, I saw it as a kind of parallel to my own transgender experiences. I do see myself as having two selves, but not like with DID at all. I see it as my "ugly" male body, and my new, beautiful "female" body. My two selves - male and female.
I think this was a very good. For such a sensitive subject, you did a very good job with this.
Oh, and to the original poster - yes, a "fantasy animal-esque fighting machine" CAN be transgender. One out of every three Azurill change from female to male upon evolving to Marrill.

Yes, of course. This is an amazing piece. Don't let one negative opinion make you take it down. There are so many positive reactions to this and there are always going to be people who try to tear you down, no matter who you are or what you try to say.
I definitely approve of this poster and I think you should keep it up for more people to see! I've always kept a Milotic around in all my games specifically because of how I feel about this. And Feebas-Milotic isn't just going from male-to-female. I see it as a representation of being "ugly" and "wrong" in your own eyes and as you transition, you see yourself as more beautiful.
I know most of the terms just because I am involved in the community. And I have to remind myself that when I'm talking to someone who isn't a part of that, they don't know all the terms, so I try to explain those when I'm talking. It's taken me several years to learn the terms I know, and there's still some I don't know. I try to be understanding and accepting of everyone and I truly want to help people understand what it feels like to be transgender and how they can be more accepting. Unless they're trying to make a transphobic joke, or intend to cause any sort of harm (physical or emotional) to a transgender person - I think that as long as you're making a conscious effort to be accepting and inclusive, you're off to a great start! ^_^
If you ever want to talk to me more about my transgenderism, just shoot me a note! I'd be glad to have someone to chat to about this.

Ooh! I got another one! How about Cubone! See, Cubone's story is that it's the Lonely Pokemon, because it is born and raised without the love of its mother, and so it wears the skull of its mother on its head to keep her with it always. So, you could make one with the Cubone spite from FireRed/LeafGreen (as it is the one where it looks the most sad), and have the caption say: "You Are Never Alone".
Whaddya think?

Feare909 [2013-04-22 17:06:54 +0000 UTC]
Hey, random idea; how about doing with with Magneton? You know, how at times, we may seem like a lonely magnet, not knowing who or what we'll be attracted to. And then, we meet other people, other people who share our ideals and feelings, and then we feel connected, not alone anymore, and that's what makes us stronger than we were before.

No prob. I also thought of Magnezone. How the total unity just makes one bigger and stronger as a whole.
