Description
Octolady who lives in an underwater city. Every year during their mating season, the men will go hunt for the Ophial Fish, rare man-sized fish on the brink of extinction in their seas. Those who manage to capture one will be allowed to choose a mate from the females.

Mernardi is one of those females - and with no desire to be married yet, she goes out and hunt the Ophial Fish herself, keeping it away until the season is over. She's still waiting for the day a merman can wrestle the fish from her.
