Amazing... I love the intricacy, and I actually got to visit Egypt a while, long ago, so I've been to the pyramids... I have to say, you absolutely nailed the look, it's perfect I feel like I'm standing there again.

this is really an amazing piece you did, without the use of words I can feel the epic nature of this universe, the unnamed conflicts, the history of violence that this world is steeped in to such a fantastic degree... shaping it into a cynical, throwaway sort of reality. Yet it is not without hope, there is still humanity within this world shaped by ever growing conflict and military complex.
Without knowing anything about the milieu I can see a very anachronistic styling to the more exotic weapons... reminds me of stargate: sg1.

About a year ago - maybe more - I stumbled on this picture. I liked it, so I favorite'd it and didn't look back.
A few weeks ago I was in a bookstore and saw 'Age of Ra'. I instantly thought 'I've seen that somewhere' and got it.
I regret nothing except not reading AoR sooner.

5 years and I still come back to it. I just wish this was a show/game, something. I don't know much about Warhammer 40k anymore, but just this painting alone takes my mind places.Β

A great Image, it led me to picking up Age of Ra and that turned out to be a great book. The other book covers were really well done too but this has definitely got to be my favourite. The detailing on this piece is truly excellent

Age of Zeus was really good as well, so was Age of Voodoo. I can't wait to see what Lovegrove has in store. Age of Amaterasu, perhaps? or Shiva?
