Then view her as the HIGH elf she once was.
The Blood Elves look more similar to the High Elves than the Night Elves. Perhaps why Blizzard changed her model in game.

It's merely a picture, and I don't see anyone professing that Sylvanas was or is a Blood Elf. If they are, they obviously haven't researched their lore. Which means you might as well just shake your head and move on, instead of making an ass of yourself on a person's interpretation of a character.

you need to look up some lore, the Blood Elves are the High Elves. The High Elves renamed themselves "Blood Elves" after Arthas swept through Quel'thalas in order to honor the elves that gave their lives (and therefore BLOOD) fighting against the onslaught of the Scourge.

therefore if she had lived through the assualt on Quel'thalas she WOULD be a Blood Elf

I never said that Blood Elves were not High Elves. I've read up on my lore, and hell you practically don't have to study lore to know that a broad amount of the High Elves are now Blood Elves. That is, if you actually pay attention to their stories in game.

I am well aware that she WOULD be a Blood Elf if she hadn't been slaughtered by Arthas, and then taken and turned into a banshee. The point I was trying to make to the other commenter, was that they were bitching that she is not a Blood Elf. Which, I can understand. But getting bent out of shape over something when there was no clear evidence of anyone actually saying she was a Blood Elf is silly, and asinine.

I am well aware that the Blood Elves are High Elves; though via lore it is spoken that the Blood Elves are changing from their High Elf brethren thanks to the fel/demon taint from Kael'thas' endeavors to help his people.

Thus, her in game model may be "wrong", but giving her the Blood Elf Model is wiser, considering they were once High Elves, rather than her old model which resembled more of a Night Elf. Which, yes, I am aware that the Highborne came from the Night Elves in the first place. But lore does state that their hair and skin paled into more light and ruddy tones.

I don't know if you were actually directing this comment at me or the other commenter. If you were directing it at me, please try not to assume that I don't know my lore, just because I was trying to be civil with the other commenter and not throw facts out like I was all knowing. If you were directing this at the other commenter. Then just ignore all I said above.

It's fine. I realize I worded it like I didn't know the lore either. It was an attempt to be nice, but it did make me look like I didn't know what I was talking about as well.

i saw the bloodelfe-form of sylvanas with blond hair.. dunno why blizz shanged the hair in blond back then, i was a bit disapointed, caus she looked so cool in wc3
