Description
My first piece of companion art to my Phantom AU-fantasy fic, The Rose and the Nightingale. In this story, Erik is a true magician of true magic, but he is also a changling; a magician who has adapted very non-human characteristics. So, those wings are real. I was tempted to make them black - oh so tempted - but every time I pictured Erik with wings, they weren't black in my mind, but rather that deep red color. That, and coloring black wings are a pain in the ass. After coloring it this way, though, I don't regret the decision.The links to the fic on both FFN and Aria are below.

It's great to see this picture. I like the talons! I love your story on FFnet. I hope you'll update soon... You should do a picture from the Garden of Innocence chapter (I think that's what it was) where Erik was holding Christine while flying. That would be gorgeous. Or one of Erik, wings out, mask off, standing in his wrecked bedchamber fighting the demons as Christine and Nadir dash in. Good job!

No, story's not abandoned. I'm just being really, really slow. But I am working on it, this one chapter just hasn't been coming very easily. But it will be the next story I update, pirate's honor.

Gorgeous! I really, really love the wings on him! And his costume is magnificent! I guess I'm not the only one who pictured Erik with real wings in a story (which I'm currently working on finishing before posting)!

I have been enjoying this story very much - though I admit that I was taken by surprise when Ayesha started to talk! Sassy little thing, isn't she? Anyhow, this is a very nice pic and the wings are neat.
