Footsteps and breathing echoed through a forest
Fear and adrenaline propelled the figure onward
He was running
But from what?

Perched on a cliff the beast watched its target
Fangs gleamed in moonlight
Eyes shined in hunger
The beast is going to dine tonight

His running paced quickened
The echoing growing louder
The beast let out a roar before jumping from his perch
The chase had begun

All that was heard was breathing
Paranoia, fear, death
Those scents permeated through out the air
And the beast caught the scent

The beast moved quickly, silently
Careful not to leave any trace
Another roar ripped through the air
It was closer to it's target

The target packed against a tree, thinking he was safe
He gripped on to a small silver pendant,
Almost praying for some protection
He then felt hot air breathing on his neck…
