Description There's always something annoying about lightning storms. Could it be the bright flashes of light that streak through the sky? Or is it the loud rumbling of thundering that follows after the streaking of light? Either way, Dorothy hated them but Izel loved him. The reasoning was going to be revealed as he dragged his unwilling sister through the storm.

"Big brother!" Dorothy yelled through the wind, "Why are we out here?" The little one jumped slightly as she heard the thundering of… thunder.

Izel simply smiled like a big brother who had a big surprise and put his finger over his lips. "Now, now Little Sel," he told her while taking her to the beach, "You'll know soon."

Dorothy pouted as her brother kept his secret, but as the beach of Sissel came into view, the winds started to die down into a breeze but the storm clouds still loomed. Looking back at Izel, Dorothy tilted her head curiously as if waiting for a big reveal.

"Big bro?" she asked softly while patting down her windswept hair. Izel just pointed out to the beach as lightning struck along the horizon, soon some of the lightning was flashing close to the beach until one bolt struck five feet away from the siblings. Dorothy squeaked at the loud boom and flash of light. Then all that was left was a shiny spot in the plot of sand. Dorothy took a step forward, but Izel gently held her back.

"No Dorothy," he said while shaking his head, "Let's wait awhile, okay?"
And so Dorothy and Izel stayed in the Luvoshka tribe for the night, so in the morning they went back to the clear spot in the sand. Izel had the brightest grin on earth as he dug into the sand. Once he dug deep enough, he pulled out this beautiful swirling mass off glass that sparkled as he held it up in the sunlight.

"See?" he said as Dorothy looked mesmerized at the crystal, "when lightning strikes the sand, the heat makes glass. This is what I like most about the lightning, some beautiful things can come about after the storms pass."

"Big bro, this is like magic~!" she said happily as she clapped, enjoying the sight of the sparkling glass. "You know so many cool nature tricks!"

"Oh Dorothy," Izel just smiled and pet his sister's head, the two enjoying their moment of discovery and bonding.
