well this is be my first for 2009, and as for my return back to dragons i drew a chinese dragon, my favorite kind.well it was fun drawing dragons once again, and this time its colored, though it was hard deciding the colors.
but what was harder was deciding the background so i just chose a simple sky scenery.
sigh...i need to improve on coloring, its not so great right now.

Well what jen said is right, the red part is TOO plain, like your shadows and the background is great and the perspective - which is most important - was done greatly.
But yeah.

yea i liked the proportion, i just need to master a normal dragon's proportions now, im not too good on that yet. but yea i'll try to add more details on the skin next time

Love the sky, the design n most of the colouring.. you have improved the shadows a little bit but not quite enough and the red part, maybe some scales in it.
Anyways wanna go to the beach one day?

dont worry this is just the beginning, i'll draw more dragons in time and i'll try my best to improve.
thanks for the criticism, i'll try to add a scale effect, dont know why but when i color the dragon it appears cartoony, i need to learn realistic coloring i assume learning lighting and shadowing will aid that problem.

Yes yes, it just that there is so much detail with the rest of the body but then it came to the red part it didnt match, it had no texture at all.
Yes usual gang, remember your undies this time and we're going to Owera beach, the sand is nice under the water, theres no shells at all and its soft.
