I watched the youtube video and would lie some tips.
I resently got a drawing tablet and im new to photoshop (is that what you used?) and would like to ask how you did do the outline, then colouring the seperate parts and how you did the shadows on the hair and clothes, they looked like triangles.
Please despesate for help.

I Used a program called 'Easy Paint tool Sai' when i made the lines, within it i used a vector layer
see a Tutorial for it here [link]
then i saved it to a PSD file from within Sai.....then opened it up in Photoshop (Doesn't matter which version)
now i colored the basic colors and used the Pen tool to Shade it.
