Here's a batch of pokemon sketches that have piled up over the past few months. I thought I'd make them into a seperate sketch dump
I love pokemon so much <3
I tried to draw mewtwo with an expression other than anger. It was harder than it sounds.

Turtles are adorable with fluffy ears and tails! I just realized that wartortle is a lot like the Japanese mythical tortoise creature! Holly beans!!

Yea same I remember watching my brother play pokemon blue and yellow and now Im playing black 2 XD lets just say I'm pretty excited for X&Y

The original red, blue and black/white 2 are the only ones I haven't played. XD
I'm very excited for X and Y too! I love seeing new pokemon, although the originals will still always be my favorites.

Well the first game I actually played was ruby so quite a few of my favourites are third gen (Aggron, Blaziken and Flygon) but I have to agree that the original pokemon were definitely better but the new gameplay definitely makes up for it

I started with gold. For the first two gens I did water, then I switched to fire for 3 and 4, then back to water for 5.
Gen three is a beautiful one! I guess I really love all of the pokemon gens, but the first gen is closest to my heart because that one brings back the most memories of my childhood. It was the only one that existed when I started to get into pokemon.
The animation is stellar in the new games! I especially love the way the pokemon sprites change when they have a stat change. Their eyes actually close when they fall asleep!

Exactly I had a fangasm when I realised my blaziken had closed eyes on black 2 lol... And I must agree that the water types for gens 1,2 and 5 are awesome (you can probably tell I love squirtle and wartortle) but I guess it's like a habit I can't help but choose fire

I'm honestly surprised it took them that long to add that to the games! It's been a whole 17 years and they just now added that! XD
I think fire is a very strong starter, but it can be difficult if the first gym is rock. It's a good choice though, because fire is a pretty rare type to find in the wild.
I have so many memories of playing pokemon games with my sister. We didn't play many of the old ones together, because she didn't get into the games until the DS games started, but all still wonderful memories! Pokemon was one of the very first games I ever played and it was how I learned to read when I was little! XD
There is no need to stop playing new pokemon games! Play those pokemon games FOREVER! I have a funny story actually. When I was little, I was supper obsessed with pokemon (still am) and I would collect cards, movies, figures, etc. My mom asked me what I was going to do with all my pokemon once I grew out of it, and was worried I wouldn't like it when I was older. I was very confused because I couldn't possibly not like pokemon. And now, more than 10 years latter, I still love pokemon and will never stop loving them! <3

Yea exactly Id always scream at my gameboy "I KNOW HE ISN'T ASLEEP HIS GOD DAMN EYES ARE OPEN!" so Im definitely happy now XD
And yea I agree it can be annoying because most of the first gyms are fire resistant but I'd always choose fire because I loved there final evolutions (Charizard, Typhlosion and Blaziken for me the other two not so much...) For me I generally feel that fire types look better, I love vulpix, growlithe, ponyta etc... It does mean when I get to water gyms I'm a little screwed tho

Although, electric and grass can be used against the water, and they're pretty easy to find.

Yea your right the first Pokemon you normally encounter are grass types in a forest or some sort or electric like shinx in gen 4 and pikachu in gen 1 and electric types can look pretty cool as well
It is XD and now I have a good 3DS XL for X & Y
And I don't think anybody should have to give anything up if they still like it
