AWKWARD

Really any page I post has something awkward there but still.

Nutter and Chance have that sort of names that are hard to introduce properly through casual speech so I'll just go and explain it here (for the benefit of new readers or old but confused readers). Nutter is an actual surname (as in Detective Inspector Scott Nutter). Chance is a nickname (as in Detective Sergeant Ed Chauncey, Chance for friends).

And that's exactly the sort of friendship they have. While we're at it, here's another example of their interactions, set some time before the events of this chapter. Yeppp.

Other stuff I should probably mention:
CID - the Crime Investigation Department, they investigate all the crimes nobody else wants to investigate
guv = guv'nor - like "boss" but more affectionate

Who is Leicester what is Leicester where is Leicester why is he not in the CID . Maybe we'll find out soon.

Oh oh and if you click back you'll notice that all pages are digital and I'm not tweaking anything any more. I'll try to keep it that way and hopefully update more often.

I wonder why did those two Chance and the guy with the blanket look at each other this way... is there more to it than "just don't purposefully run into buses while I'm on shift please" ?

I love Nutter and Chance. Can we have like a buddy cop movie with them ?

Well, I can't tell you if there's MORE to it but really it's that awkward moment when you have a loud argument with someone, catch someone else staring at you and stare back at them and they also feel awkward. A perpetual cycle of awkward...

Well, THIS COMIC would be a buddy cop story if it wasn't written by a perpetually depressed person! But seriously, back when I started it did have more of that, and a time-travelling flying wheelchair (no joke).

I just LOVE the lighting in all these scenes! Also, it's insanely awesome seeing the details of the backyard here (i'm looking forward to seeing the cells at some point in the future!  XD)

Nutter is scheming and sneaking. God, I wonder if he is sneaking a gun into the station.... urgh... Poor Chance, ha ha, although I love his face in panel 5! He looks so baffled

The plot thickens!  

I really like the way backgrounds look, especially the brick walls in the fist two panels. And the facial expressions are as great as always (Chance is like s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/o… and then Nutter is like i2.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/n… )

Thank you! I'll be getting a looong break from the bricks soon (but not yet). Hahaha, spot on! I always associate Chance's expressions with husky-type breeds too! My explanation for this is because they are loyal but also randomly destructive.

Monty Python is the freaking best!  One of the first songs I actually memorized by heart as a kid was the Lumberjack Song (my dad got me into it after he caught a reference to it from a cartoon I used to watch).

For some reason I had it in my head that 'Nutter' was the nickname and 'Chance' was the real name! That brings so much more about their relationship into focus.

Hah, I did think someone might find the names confusing. Hopefully it'll be clear from the comic rather the description EVENTUALLY but I'm still glad I explained it. I want this comic to be the one thing to link to whenever someone wants to know more about my characters. And to be fair 'Nutter' is one of those surnames that are becoming more rare in the UK, I wonder why...

Already started on the next page! It'll probably be a while before any sort of a proper schedule but still, moving forwards instead of going in circles now.
