Yep, all that ordinance would work swimmingly on anything other than...
SHARKZILLA!
They just made him belch.

Sharkzilla eats nuclear energy for breakfast!
He has absorbed all the nuclear blasts thrown at him, and has grown even stronger from them!

Well, have you ever watched Pacific Rim or Forbidden Planet?
There are stranger things at work than ever dreamed of by man's philosophy.

I get where your coming from on realism, much of what's been put to film has its logic/physics faults.
That's why I'm not a nitpicker on those things but just try to enjoy it.
As far as other dimensions interacting with our own, all bets are off on what might be possible.
Like the ID monster renewing itself moment by moment, one way I can see Godzilla or Sharkzilla surviving man's best attempts to annihilate the monster.
The only other way I see it surviving is like Cthulhu would, since the big C definitely is written to have an interdimensional aspect to him... so all the nukes dropped on him would only make him an even more pissed off, radioactive monster.

Even at five times the length of a Nimitz Class Aircraft carrier, an Imperial Stardestroyer would be dwarfed by that beast! Better launch the nukes!

Think more akin to Gojira.
The nuclear mutated great great grandaddy shark is a force of nature.
He gobbles down nukes like chicken fried chicken!
