Yeah, I'm still trying to figure out why Jubei didn't give her what was perhaps the only offer of consensual sex she's ever had. As much as I try to rationalize it, I can't figure it out; they both cared for each other and I think she deserved to be with someone she loved at least once before the big showdown which put both of their lives in permanent danger. The only idea I've had is that maybe he didn't want to feel like he was taking advantage of her, but she wanted it from him as much as he needed it from her. So really, I just don't get it. It's too bad it's such an unknown series, otherwise I'm sure there would be in-depth fan analysis of every situation in the movie.

Another thing I'm trying to figure out is when Gemma killed the shogun, or whatever rank he was, in terms of the story. He said he died "two days ago," but I'm not sure when that was in relation. If it was before the movie had started, it would make sense that the entire Koga team was ambushed by the stone golem.
