Many thanks, Linda. Good point about being scared off. I don't know. They seem to do this every so often - a huge flock of them rising up, flying around for a few minutes and then settling back down. Not all of the birds take part, only sections of them. They could get scared by a predator - those monitor lizards or a hyena perhaps (no big cats in this region) or a raptor - or it could be part of feeding behaviour - all of them moving to a slightly different locality for food.

Yes, you can see both species here, with the red/orange wings of the "Greater" species evident.
