Description CFS 2015 Part 2 - The BloomsThis second part of the Chelsea Flower Show 2015 presents some of the blooms of flowers that were present in the great Flower Pavilion. The light was better than last year, and there was more room. I thought the displays were much better overall, with peonies and pinks being the star attractions (thanks to TV coverage). But the favourites of begonias, irises, lupins, gladioli were also there in stunning colour. Rather than comment, here are a few of my shots, roughly arranged by flower type. I used Lightroom and Nik/Google Colour Efex Pro to process the shots.
The images and this Feature are dedicated to all my Watchers and, in particular to my close friends and supporters:

Some areas had a lovely scent, Linda, but mostly there was too much pedestrian traffic moving the air about for scent to build up.

It is a huge arena, Linda, and there are entrances all over the place, so lots of fresh air comes in as well as people.

Honestly, all that would test my patience terribly. Β  (the people, that is)Β  In my opinion, the shots I have seen on this site which you would never know people were all about when it was taken, have been the nicest, and most memorable. ( I think in part for that very reason)Β  Not easy at allΒ to accomplish when you might have some bozo at any second pop their head in your prize shot!

Yes, it is an extraordinarily busy event, Linda, and we go on "Members' Day". When the general public gets in for the subsequent 3 days, it is twice as bad. The "trick" is to go where there are the fewest people at any one time and take as many shots as quickly as possible, then move on.

Cheers
