LOL I wrote a long comment on here only to realize my account wasn't verified (I registered specifically to comment on this master of a piece) but in summary, this cover art for the 2006 annual edition (which I still have neatly packed away 11 years later) marks the end of an era in the direction that supa strikas was taking during this time. oh how I miss the pre-super league era with characters and writing that was authentically and uniquely south african and the unique art style which came out of strika entertainment during this time. as a person who dabbles in drawing from time to time (fun fact: I used to have my own version of supa strikas in primary school) and appreciator of amazing artworks like what you've produced,Β I just had to take the time to say thank you for being part of a team that made my childhood one full of dreams. I used to look at the credits on the comic books all the time and looking back, "Andrew Cramer", "Bonisa Bonani" ,"Peter Woodbrige" etc had subconsciously come to mean "I'm gonna enjoy reading this". I'm glad I stumbled upon this page and look forward to enjoying more of what you've produced.

Wow what a great comment! Thanks for the compliments man. Yeah this was the last annual I worked on as 2006 I moved on to Media 24's Mshana magazine where I worked on the Unicity and Kasiwash comic.

Heh that's not Klaus. Β Thats one of the original Supa Strikas before the team was made "international". Β His name was Mark the Shark if I recall.

Hey, I'm currently working on the cartoon for this series. Just how big is it where you are?

I'm working with FatKat animation. I've been working on Supa Strikas for the past few weeks now. I knew it had a fan base, I just didn't have an idea how big. I'm enjoying it so far. I'm currently working on team Cosmos mainly.

Oh yes, FatKat! Hennie showed me your blog a couple of times when I was there. Team Cosmos is new to me. Must be one of the new "Super League" teams.

It's tight.
The goalkeeper doesn't fit in though. I think it's his angle to the ground, he's too skewed to the left. That's my only critic about the picture.
I love Mr SuppaDuppaFly on the far right though. He looks fresh.
The colouring is fantastic. It's impecible and well disciplined with the highlights and consistency of patterns. I love it.
Nice Pin up/Cover.
