thank you so much luvie ! I am so flattered that you see a connection between classic and modern. A perspective I was shooting for with those funkeh badass batwings I find that sometimes my conceptual work is not clear enough !

It's also pretty brave of you using Biblical verse- religious stuff not being popular- and yet a lot of lines are so adaptable to modern thinking. Bravo for thinking outside of the box!

oh I realize that... What I like is that when it does come into your art it's done with taste which is a real balancing act sometimes.
(religion has such a rich resource of imagery and literature but politics often get in the way...I never even thought about simply using a verse to embellish av idea )

That's why I mentioned that. We are remodeling our sanctuary and my class used to meet downstairs where there was a little kitchenette. Our leader used to make Folgers in one of those big electric things with the spigot. (I had to bring my own good coffee in a go-cup from home.) Since we moved to our temporary quarters, she brings a big pump thermos of gormet coffee from her house. The class voted that she (please, please, please) continue even after we move back to our new room.
