Description technically, merman...but my own take on it.  I like the more aggressive look of them...(Note this may be updated or changed.  I dunno)  This is a reference sheet for one of the OCs I have of the RED medic.
Viktor Heidrich, and well...He was experimented on by his father when he wished to be able to swim more easily...well, I guess human mutation and alteration runs with the family...

People normally make mermaids not mermen so it's nice that you depicted the male version too. Brings more curiosity

That is true, and gratitude for you pointing that out.  I do agree, it's an out of the norm concept and well, it was an idea my friend and I came up with in one of our stories.

well, to put it short...His father was a scientist, Viktor wanted to be able to swim better because he sucked at it...and rather than being a good/normal father and telling him he needed to practice more...He altered his son's anatomy and well...(a bunch of other stuff) so that when he entered the water he would morph into this thing and stay that way for awhile as long as he was in water. Later on, when he's much older, he has despised his father for this because he can't go swimming anywhere with people.  (His father is dead now)  But his brother knows about Viktor's condition and kind of harasses him. He meets this girl who doesn't seem to see him as the freak he thinks he is and over some time eventually shows her this....(that's kind of all we have right now..not too much deep detail yet, but we hope to further it to make it better)
