hey I'm super angry.
I was making a collage & dropped my new bottle of white acrylic ink over it. can you imagine?
I washed the collage off, surprisingly that worked. it's drying now. But all my fucking ink is gone,
and a few pictures are ruined
Think I'm off to bed, fucking clumsy bastard that I am..

i'm a clumsy bastard too. i feel your pain. i am obsessed with not knocking things over but i have so much stuff on my desk like diet coke bottles and jars of brushes. everything is constantly getting knocked over. i've gotten pretty fast and can catch things a lot, but i ruin stuff too.Β
in light of that, (i want to be a university prof. can you tell? my dad writes like that. ) i am making a painting in honor of the occasion. wait for it...

i've been working on this painting almost all day and it's getting worse and worse. ironically i put on too much paint and ink and everything started to mush together but the dumb part is that it's not very white, so i missed the whole point! haha i just put some glue on it, i don't know what else to do! Β hahaha! Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β i may have to start over comp letely. doh!

that's an awesome idea! Β start out with really big, really thick paper and just go and go and go! i Β think the painting might be ok, but it has a variety of papers glued together. it looks cool, but i need to flatten it. it's curled a lot. i need some big books. Β what are you supposed to use to flatten things out if all you have is a kindle? haha who knows, maybe i'll post it today.

The perspective makes me think of German Expressionism just a bit. Creates a weird atmosphere in my opinion, that I love. Creepy and well done.

Yes I most enjoy the film aspects from that era. German Expressionism played a major role in shaping the direction of many artists, and how art is approached today. Two films that I really enjoy are Nosferatu and The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari. There are many excellent silent films from this time period. Alfred Hitchcock was also inspired by German Expressionism.
