“Hi…

I guess you are here now to know more about me… Well there is not much to say. I -uh- am a Human. I am 7 and my mom’s name is Toriel. She adopted me when I fell down the Underground, she is very nice. I live with her in the ruins, we go hunt for snails and at night, we sit in the living room, reading books. Sometimes Sans comes to check on us, thought it’s becoming more regular, recently. Toriel even bought a couch so he can sleep over.

Toriel is a bit stressed when he isn’t around, to be fair. I think she overthinks my well being and well… she did lose her two child. I can tell that taking care of me… scares her. But I try my best to not overwhelm her! She allows me to call her Mom, but I am not sure she really likes it. Sometimes she doesn’t respond to me unless I call her by her name. She doesn’t even do it on purpose. It’s just…
I hope with time, we can really be a family.

What? Why do I talk about her? She is my mother. Of course I’d talk ab… Why did I end up stuck in the Underground? Well, if I knew, we wouldn’t be here. I am not sure, actually. We were doing fine, everybody was happy and We manage to break the barrier, but for some reason the doors didn’t open. Alphys said something about… What do you mean ”in the first place“? OH! So my favorite food is milk! I like milk. A lot. And cake. Snails aren’t so bad once they are cook correctly. I wasn’t very exited with the pie but, I have to be honest, it tastes pretty good with butter and caramelized onions. But what I like the most are Grillby’s burgers. They are super greasy, it is awesome! But Mom doesn’t want me to abuse too much of it. She says it is not healthy. On that part, she gets really along with Papyrus. So sometimes Sans brings a take away when we go on patrol.

No, they aren’t real patrols. It is me wandering around and saying "Hi” to everybody, making sure they are alright. I don’t know, I feel like it makes people happy when I visit them. They seem more cheerful. And Sans is following me, I guess to keep me company or keep an eye on me. I believe Toriel asked him to do that, to make sure I am alright. But he stays outside when I visit Muffet. Apparently, it is too much work to clean the spider webs from his clothes… His words.

There is a few things I don’t entirely get with him.

Sometimes, he stares at me, silently, like if he is trying to figure something out. His eyes gets pretty vague. And the moment after, he is back! Smiling like if nothing happens. I am not sure he is aware he is doing that but I feel like being under a spotlight, in those moments. It’s a bit… exposing. Rather intimidating. But I am pretty sure it is simply his way of being… him. I mean, he is also doing that when he is preparing a new bad pun. Toriel and him are unstoppable when they start a contest. I have to hide in my bedroom. I think I am starting to understand Papyrus’ frustration. Because once they are on it, there is no off switch!

It is a bit like Tika. They are the only kid I hang out with outside of school. They are very nice. Fairly they can be a bit pushy and cocky, but I think they just want to prove themselves. It seems they don’t have much occasion to talk at home, and they are so joyful about it. They can speak for hours, non stop, and don’t even feel tired. For sure that is some endurance here. And I am the one people call determined. But I think them and Papyrus are way more than me, ahahaha!

Intimate question… Uh, that is something weird to ask a kid, you know… If I am a girl or a boy? Why do you want to know? I am 7. I am pretty sure that is not something you shouldn’t be concerned about! Especially for a grown up!
