Warning: if you have not read book 6 of the Harry Potter series and plan to, do not read this descript further- turn back now.This just got into my head after reading books 4-6 and looking at some cool HP fanart- and I had to draw it, color it and put it up before it drove me crazy. xD; I still have other pics I want to do and I might start doing the fanart100 prompt things with Harry Potter... maybe- if I feel like it. xD;; Anyways- this is geared towards Harry coming of age (which is 17 in wizard years) and he's gone off to find the Horcrux's of Voldemort's to get around to destroy him because he deserves it cause he's done so much stuff to hurt people and killled people or has caused people to be killed. The people there in the side are the only ones I decided to represent that have died because Harry was present in all their deaths- only the first two he doesn't remember. Their names are in the bg of the pic. I wanted to get the exact quote where Harry said he'd 'kill him or die trying' but I couldn't find it... and I couldnt' remember if it was in book 5 or 6... and both are just... too big to find one simple phrase like that. oO; So, it's a 'he said something like this' type of quote. xD;;
This pic was fun to do... I like drawing Harry Potter stuff and I often wonder why I don't draw it more. xD;;

I don't draw it nearly as much as some people do. There are a couple of artists I've looked at occationally that 95% of their accounts are HP fan art. xD;;

I liked the 4th movie okay, but it wasn't a favorite, I think they did a little better than the 3rd though- but still had unnecessary stuff added in (like the drawn out dragon scene- totally pointless). I know what you mean though- cause that's why I read book 4-6 again because I too needed to just fill in all the gaps that were left out from the movie and mend in my mind how things were suppose to be. xD;

XD I have firmly decided that when the 7th book comes out I'm dressing up as Tonks. She's teh awesome. I think so far my fave book is the 6th, so if they ruin that movie, I shall kill them. I mean, I know that it would've been hard deciding what to keep in, because the 4th book is like...uber long, but you're right...they put in unnecessary bits, and left out stuff that would've better explained things for people who hadn't read the books, or seen the other movies. I think they also need to stop changing directors. I liked the one they had with the 3rd one, and was really upset when they changed him :/

yeah, it's quite annoying how they keep changing things. It would be even more annoying if one of the main characters suddenly changed too. I don't like how they've left out Percy a lot, he's sort of important! But yeah, I could go on and on about things I didn't like. That's why the books are always better. At least they're keeping mostly right about things...

Harry... -drools- Loving how Dumbledore looks because it reminds me of the first actor they had cast, whom I loved <333 I was so sad that he died because I'm not so into this new guy. I also love the closeups of Harry's eyes in this picture. Definitely faving this!

Wow, this is so powerful o_o I especially love the fact that you did close-ups on his eyes, very dramatic. I'm also a sucker for pretty eyes, so no surprises that it's my favorite part XD I also love his expression, you really captured the loathing and pain he feels, but the unwielding determination as well. Fantastic! I love the ghostly images of James, Lily, Cedric, Sirius and Dumbledore (You've really captured their faces really well - especially Sirius and Dumbledore). Great colouring of Harry's eyes, too. The close-ups must've been difficult to do. Me likes! ^^

Me either, I don't think they chose the right person to play Sirius- he's suppose to be a good-looking guy- though looking wasted away. They should've casted Johnny Depp- at least he has an English accent- where the guy they got didn't... -_-; Oh well. xD; Thanks!

Ah, you think like my close friend xD She still think Johnny Depp would be perfect for the part. I'm not really sure, but after The Pirates of the Caribbean, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, I have no doubt that Johnny can play ANY part. He's very flexible. But I would have been just as happy with someone like Viggo Mortensen. I'm still slain by his Aragorn charm. But he's American, and HP4 only hires British actors >__> Damn them.

THe original actor of Dumbledore wasn't British I don't think... the new one is Scottish- but I don't like him that much... and I don't think the actor that was Sirius is British either... might be Canadian though... a lot of actors are. xD;; I just think Depp would've worked because he'd fit the good looking- thing (lol) and yes, he is a versitile actor, seems he can do any role really, he's quite talented. Oh well still all the same... not a big deal- they got a lot of things all weird in the movies anyways. Like the talking w/ Harry through the fireplace was all wrong- but that has to do w/ the fact that they got the whole floo powder thing wrong... or changed it at least. But- oh well- guess they don't care and neither does Rowlings apparently- or maybe she doesn't have enough say in the screenwriting, which I think is wrong- it's her story afterall, but I'm rambling....

Hehehe xD Never met another person that could ramble on about HP and still make sense. I honestly hate the third movie, but. The way that the Knight Bus scene went on for like.. ten minutes, and the whole history of the Marauder's Map, which was a key aspect in the book, was cut out. And I had to see it twice >__> I swear, the whole cinema hear my complaining. So when I went in to see the 4th movie, I pretty much had no expectations whatsoever. And I found myself rather liking it ^^. Of course at that point, I haven't read the fourth book for about two years, so maybe I was rather bling detail-wise, but I thought it was good. Long, but good. Then again, I can't see how they could make such a big book into a short movie xD. I even shed a teak when Cedric died. Well, not when he died, but when Harry brought his body back to Hogwarts. Okay, so I didn't shed a tear. I was bawling my eyes out .__. And here I go, rambling. But yes. HP rules.

I think they did rather well with the 4th movie, they of course had to change some things because of the timethings- like the fact that Barty was a give-a-way in the beginning, when that wasn't the case in the book- you had no idea about Barty Crouch Jr. I didn't like how the actor did Dumbledore, kinda all freaky... and he's too short. xD;; And the only other thing that bugged me was the drawn out dragon scene- so unnecessary. In the book he simply drew the dragon up off the nest of eggs (and they didn't even do the NEST of eggs!)- there was no flying around hte castle and Harry almost losing his broom- that was just stupid actually... cause why couldn't he have just said "Accio Firebolt!" again while stuck on the roof? He had a free hand to grab his wand. Just things like that they could've left out to make room for the actual story... you know? I didn't hate the third movie, but I didn't like it as much. I was rather pleased with the 4th movie, even if it did have some things that bugged me. I do hope they do better for the 5th book and I will be severly put out if they screw up #6 too, that one is shorter, but still has some very important things in it. {It still bugs me they made all the Dursley's brunettes when Petunia and Dudley are blonde. xD;;; I'm just picky}. Oh, and yeah, I was bawling too at that part. If they pull of 6 correctly I'll be sobbing to death!
Ah ha, here I am rambling on again... hehe, I like to talk about Harry Potter though, I also rarely find anyone to talk to about it that shares my views. Everyone seems to be all "SNAPE RULES" or "I LOVE DRACO" to actually think about the story instead of the fandom. xD; La la, moving on...

The books are good, but don't read them until you actually have time. (6 books take up a lot of time- wait for like... spring break, or read them only on weekends xD) But you shall enjoy them, but I will always say, the books get the best at #3. (That's when more chars are intro'd and more of the whole plot starts to happen).
