Day 13 of PokeddeXY, Favourite Normal-Type: Zangoose!I'm not sure how or when my fondness for Zangoose developed. My first impression was just like 'eh those are kinda neat' and then next thing you know I have a Zangoose OC and it all goes downhill from there. They just grew on me suddenly and inexplicably, I guess. Here's a Zangoose on a good day with no Seviper around.

;C; Aw, you drew it so adorable!! XD Just... the fluff(the tail omg so fluffeh XD) just makes it more adorable and the eyes are just so cool/shiny as always, ah ;C; There's too much to like about this XD
I hafta say, the backgrounds are getting noticeably better, and fit in more, they kinda blend in with the Pokemon's type, y'know? Also, the way you make Zangoose so fluffy... looks like a giant pillow XD We now have Litwick the marshmallow, and Zangoose the pillow... well then XD But still, I just love all your Pokemon drawings, they're always so nice to look at, and how the colors just seem to blend together, and just... awesomeness ;-; Even how sometimes, the colors just look really soft and nice, while some can be the shiny and just, overall more solid, y'know? Sorry if that makes no sense at all XD
I even have to say, I was the same with Zangoose, I still am, kinda XD I'm like, "eh, it's okay, kinda fluff", I don't really pay attention to it as much as I should, same with Espurr XD I just thought it was creepy until I didn't, it was one of those things XD

I'm glad you think the backgrounds are getting better, thank you very much for that! This has definitely been an opportunity to practise rendering environments a bit, even if it's just little snippets.
Haha, that makes perfect sense, don't worry! It's mainly about contrast, and sort of like...how different textures are rendered? I'm still working at trying to convey different surfaces and textures, but fur and shiny stuff are things I really have fun with, especially together because it's such a stark contrast.
I really don't know what got me into Zangoose so much! I think it might have been creating Mara, my Zangoose OC? I got really attached to her and I guess got fond of her species by proxy or something. I pretty much only made her a Zangoose because I needed to use a Pokémon with particularly vicious claws and Zangoose felt like the logical thing to go for, haha.

Okay, good. I have a bit of trouble making sense to other people, IDK why, it's just a bit hard sometimes.
I don't, either, like with Espurr, I saw a video a while ago, and it... kinda scared me a little... but it made me like Espurr a bit more. Hypnotized, I bet you. I was hypnotized to like Espurr XD The weird thing is, my first favorite Pokemon was Gengar, I never had an explanation for it, I just liked the Pokemon. I never really knew why I did, I just really liked the Pokemon, I still do, it's a favorite XD Kinda like with Leon Kuwata from Dangan Ronpa, a favorite for not a very big reason, other than I just like the character XD
