Personality:

Ryu is always happy and full of energy. Sometimes Panda has to calm her down to avoid Maki's anger when Ryu is talking too much about something she's hype like food or video games.
When she's too hype she can be insensitive (she doesn’t do it on purpose) until she notice it (and being really sorry).
She is loyal and reliable to her friends, she'll do anything to help them. She’s also honest and doesn’t scare to say what she thinks.

Despite her impulsive happiness, she can be serious and disciplined. During fights against cursed spirits, she can think really fast to identify her enemies and elaborate a strategy to defeat them.
If she's hurt she will stay silent about it to not worry her friends because she doesn't want to be a burden on others.

She likes cooking, taking pictures, long walks, playing video games.

She hates being late, lies, feeling weak.

History:

She always lived far from big cities because Kage's clan wasn't that famous and they'd rather live far from all of the stress and dark thoughts of the city. When Ryu was 15, she had enough of living in the countryside and left her family and join Tokyo Jujutsu High School where she was trained by Gojo first, then Maki continued to develop her fighting skills.

When she was still living with her family, she always felt that she had the potential to become stronger and living with her family was restraining her.
When she learned why her family moved far from Tokyo, she was angry against other exorcists to ignore her family and consider them as pacifist and useless people. She asks her parents to become stronger to restore the honor to her clan and train hard. Her skills improve a lot until she could defeat the strongest cursed spirit (grade 2) in her town, created by all the superstitions around the dark forest next to their domain (There were a lot of rumors about missing persons and finding dead bodies with weird scars). The fight cost her a huge scar on her arm. Her father was really impressed that she was that strong and he made the clan agreed that she could leave countryside to go to Tokyo as her wish.

When she met Gojo for the first time, she called him grandpa due to his white hair and attacked him because she thought he was one of those exorcists who said bad stuff about her clan, but when he said that he kinda liked Kage's clan, she gave him the benefit of the doubt. Then Gojo introduced her to Masamichi, and she was happy to meet people who respected her clan and helped her to develop her skills more.

She met Maki, Panda, Inumaki and Yuta and quickly became friends with them. She was a lot intimidated by them at first. She was sad when Yuta left, she was pretty close to him and loved training with him, so they both promised to become stronger so they can fight against each other next time.
She also started to have a crush on Inumaki when he comfort her with a letter he wrote after Yuta’s departure, it was weird to read because she was used to his “onigiris speech” (she likes calling it like this) but she really loved the letter so much she keeps it preciously in her desk’s bedroom.

She had trouble understanding his vocabulary at first but achieved to understand by writing notes about the context and what he was saying. She doesn’t show her feelings toward Inumaki because she’s afraid it won’t be mutual, so she shows her affection by cooking him onigiri, but she had to cooking to Maki and Panda as well to not be suspicious. She also bought him a lot of coughs syrups.
