Mlp is a very good show actually, I swore myself I wouldnt get into it, but I got curious and... well, im deep into it now. I really adore it, the plot is good, and pony characters are amazing.
You can relate to ponies, their cutie marks and such are chosen by you and created by you in such a way no matter what your pony looks like, its unique to you. In the cartoon, they are very human like, how they pose, talk, and more. So ponies are very loved for that as well.
Overall, to people who hate ponies and never want to get involved... Its very much worth it to get involved. Since most people have a pony, everyone can draw art of their characters with others because its in the same style and from the same world.

Honestly I tried several episodes of the show and I can't stand it LOL. What I like about it is that the characters have very simple designs which are only told apart by the marking on their hips, or 'cutie marks.' Other than that they're all like one color, with different mane and tail colors. Personally my most simply designed characters have ended up my most complex, so it attracts me.
I can't stand the show itself or the style and draw in a much more realistic horse style, but number 14 will get his cutie mark when he grows. He'll just be in my style, not MLP style xD

Pinkie Pie's the worst I'll admit but the show itself I can't stand. About the only character I actually like is Rainbow Dash, and even then I would draw her in a more realistic horse style because I think she'd just be cooler. When I do draw my new little boy, he'll look more like this: [link]

I love the show haha, and to be honest, rainbow dash has always been my least favorite of the ponies. I used to hate her, but now I gotta admit I like all the characters.
