Just.
DO IT
Don't let your dreams be dreams.
Lol, in all seriousness, though, might as well just do it (something I've been trying to convince myself of, as you already know lol). In comics, people honestly don't pay attention to the art as much as in stand-alone drawings because they're focusing on so many other things in addition to the art. So might as well just do it because if you wait until you're "ready," it'll never happen because (speaking from experience) you'll never feel ready.

It's not so much what other people think, it's just that I'd rather it look nice ish, so I don't have to eventually go back and redo it all because the beginning looks like a pre-schooler did it lol
I might try later this year, I just want to figure out clothes and stuff so it's not completely meh~

Yeah but that's going to happen no matter what you do. Your art is gonna get better and you are going to cringe at your older work. Just do it anyways. In my experience your are gonna never fine the motivation for it. There won't be some moment of inspiration when things are just gonna click for you. If you want to do something sometimes you just got to force yourself to do it. That's how I began working out. It's same thing for when I have a lot stuff to do at work. The same applies to anything you been putting off.

True, but some things put you off to them if you force them, art being one of those :/ which is why I can go weeks without uploading anything because if I force it, it just makes me frustrated and not wanting to draw even more.
Which kinda sucks tbh lol Can't really draw when I'm not feeling it or I risk not drawing for longer

True, but I've learned from years of experience, if I get less than 9-10 then I need a nap in the middle of the day o.o 9-10 hours and I'm good until late at night

I usually sleep longer than eight but I want to try to get it down to 8
cuz I want more time during the day.

Eh, it's kind of nice to have more time in the day, but not when I end up having to take a 2-3 hour nap around 4pm, so it kinda defeats the purpose lol
I take that extra time and put it towards the night~

NOT ANYMORE~!
Iunno, I could be average skilled, but then when I see a majority of people at a higher skill level, it feels like thats the average, due to how many are at that level so it makes me feel worse about my art, especially when I see that they've been drawing 1/4th the time as me :/
>_> Hush you, it's more than ten minutes
I probably won't color it though, even though it'd look nice, it'd end up taking way longer and the story would go no where. Downside is, it'd be a let down if I did it and no one read it lol

It's really not productive at all to compare your own work to others in that sort of way. If you can't stop yourself from doing it, it may help to not even look at other people's stuff for a while. Comparing only really helps if you're trying to figure out how another artist does something to see if maybe their techniques can help you improve. Otherwise, it's a good way to just get yourself frustrated and disappointed.
Also, as I've told you countless times before, "drawing a long time" doesn't count when you don't draw frequently during that time. Think about the time you spend playing games. Add to it the time you spend watching anime. Then add to THAT the time you already use to draw. That's how much the people who improve quickly are drawing. If you're not willing to put forth the same amount of effort as those people, you shouldn't expect the same results.
Also, it doesn't matter how long. Ten minutes or ten hours, whatever. If you give up at all, you've already lost. Never give up, never surrender.
I don't think that really matters. I'm coloring mine mainly because it's actually easier/faster for me because of my style/technique. Do whatever works for you.
Yes, I understand completely that downside, but then the question becomes "who are you making this for?" If the answer is anyone other than yourself, you may want to reconsider things. Do it because you want to, not to be popular or make money. Not because others are doing it. Not because you think you should. Do it just because you enjoy it, because that will show. It doesn't matter if no one reads it if you truly enjoy it. JK Rowling wrote Harry Potter completely for herself just because she wanted to. That showed through in her writing and now the series has become one of the most iconic of our generation. People subconsciously pick up on that kind of passion, I truly believe that. So, yes, it may be a bit of a let down if no one reads it, but in the end, it doesn't really matter as long as you enjoy it.

>_> It's kinda hard not to look at other people's stuff, you know, being on DA and all.
Idk, reading what other people who improve quickly put, quite a few seem to watch anime and play games too, WHILE going to school, so~
Mhm, idk, we'll see how my shading comes out without color lol
I'm doing it for myself of course, but it'd be nice if people read it.
