Etna and Flonne are the only Black Dragon members who escaped the Defenders from being captured on Smashrealm after Nefarious and the other members were defeated. She wished to Flonne that they escaped elsewhere, which got flonne to grant her wish and went away to Cybertron.

During the COVID Pandemic that lasted from December 2019 to 2021, Etna instructs her prinnies to monitor both Earthrealm and Smashrealm to form a plan for retaliation. She plans to get back whatever's left of the Black Dragon Clan and have them rejoin her new Clan: The Red Devil. Every BD member (except for Dr. Nefarious) will be re-invited under her command with new troops by her side.

Once a servant succubus to Laharl and specialist to Vezon, Etna has taken advantages to get through her trials, on both the good side and evil side. Ultimately, she is devious and sadistic. Though not nearly as childish as she was under Laharl's wing, she still displays a snarky demeaner to the other members of the Black Dragon Clan, especially to Vezon before his untimely death.

Much like Dr. Nefarious desires to usurp Vezon's position as leader of the BD, so too does Etna. Unlike Nefarious though, she is quiet with her desire for leadership. Etna holds her deception all throughout Vezon's role in the MMXIX Trilogy, hoping to claim his leadership through any subtle means (until Nefarious abruptly took over in the end of Ragnarok Scenario 1).

Nearing the start of 2022, Etna assembles a team of war criminals (namely Dr. Robotnik, Doom Slayer, Hypno Baron and Sixshot) to achieve her retaliation, and hope to defeat Shantae, the Pure Genie Goddess.
