You can see them only if you've seen death...Ever since reading the 5th Harry Potter book, I've fallen in love with the concept of Thestrals, i mean, skeletal dragon horses? it just screams 'draw me!'
and so here we have it, my interpretation of a thestral..though he looks a tad plump for an all bones kinda creature. ^^
i promise more naruto stuff is coming -_- meh heh, in the mean time, stare at the HP inspired goodness!

Well, IΒ΄m not a big fan of HP, but I love this picture!! The anatomy of the horse and its wings, and the moonlight shining on it... I donΒ΄t know if it looks evil or just too beautiful, but if I saw one, IΒ΄d try to touch it for sure. (I lack of sense of danger

That's so awesome! I just recently got to the point where I can draw dragons... variations on them are much beyond me. And I really admire anyone who can draw horses. They are so hard to draw! You did an excellent job on this.

i think of them as being more skelital with the flesh so type they look almost like skeletons
but this is a hell of a lot more beutiful, i likey ^^;

noo you're definitely not a dork at all! the light source is probably madly wrong but i'm to dumb and lazy to actually figure out what it should look like. truth is, i didnt really have a set light source when i was doing the picture in the first place so whadda ya know.

You might want to draw the wings with just a little more... um, bone, because it looks kind of like those wings are going to give out at any moment

... I really really really really need to get around to reading HP some time. I have my mum's super-strict anti-magic opinions to thank for that ... ANYWAY! This is cool! I love how the moonlight reflects off it, and the clouds in all their nice cloudiness ... The animal's design is really interesting. Absolutely gorgeous colouring!!!
