Description The dress is made out of paper, so why not add some more to the photo?

The place was already covered in soap from the bubble machine, so we thought we could mess things up just a little more by throwing paper around ^^
And this is the result...

My friend Ghi did the make-up, and the photos were taken by her mother, the amazing photographer Sylvia Weenink.
Her website can be found here .

The dress is made by me, and the model is me.

PAPER! Really great! The major part of my works are made out of handmade paper. I never built a dress, I think it's a lovely idea!

Isn't paper just the greatest material?

Hey, da's lang geleden! Ja, ik heb hem zelf gemaakt. Dank je!
Verlichtend is wel een erg toepasselijke beschrijving voor een jurk met een lampenkap als basis

This is absolutely ridiculous!

How long did that take to make and how much paper did you use?

Thank you so much!

I didn't really keep track of the exact amount of time and paper I used, but I've been working on this for four months...

Well, it was an assignment for school. A quite important one that is. And I think the result is totally worth the effort.

Stunning! A shame that it is not very useful for everyday wear.

Thank you! I totally agree. Maybe I should design a fabric version...
And thanks for the fave!

Well, so far I still haven't got the slightest idea regarding how the skirt could be made. I used a broken lamp-shade for the paper version...

How about using spray fabric stiffener - tha would help keeping the fan shapes

Yeah, I guess that would work. And I'd use a hoop skirt underneath the fans.
