Description This is a small drawing I did in one of my classes. I was just playing around with masking tape and ball point pen and this is what resulted.

Masking tape is an interesting material to work with, I've worked with it myself. There was a young sculptor, who was in school with me, who used masking tape with his sculptures (iron and tape) and he made it look so elegant. I wish I had images to share...
I like the combination of the mediums here. I would encourage trying graphite and tape too.

Yeah, those sound like they would be really cool to see... And yeah, masking tape is really cool. I love the textures it makes, and it's so easy to make it do what you want it to do. Only problem is you waste a whole bunch of tape, but whatever!

somber colours and textures for a somber bird.
even the 'negative space' has something,
hints of other subjects...
