Challenge: When do you fist discover you’re a werewolf? Do you understand what’s happened the moment you’re bitten, or do you find out at the next full moon, when you become the beast?

Something about the attack had been haunting the teenager since the event a month ago--no dog has ever been that big, at least none he's ever seen. The way it used teeth and claws...according to the internet, his marks were more akin to a mountain lion or bear. Definitely not a dog...but werewolves? At first it only made Stephan smirk. He really -had- gotten too into the Halloween spirit huh? Those things were nothing but fake movie monsters--movies he's watched way too many times.

By the next full moon, the scars were healing, the fears before were finally beginning to dwindle and then it happened. As the sun sunk below the horizon and the moon appeared. It started as a stiffness in his back. Nothing but a discomfort and warmth that spread outward to his face and hands. At first he ignored it. At first, it only mildly surprised him. Soon though, he couldn't ignore that something was wrong. He couldn't stop the trembling and as his body morphed he was forced to hunch over to accommodate the shift. As he watched in horror, his face extended into a muzzle, his body grew long black fur, pointed teeth and ears. After that, his memories become much more blurred like a half-waking dream. Running, howling, moonlight at his back...No solid memories until he awoke the next morning somewhere in the woods.
