meet the Serpent, from ~elledupomme 's HERO which I've told you many times you have to read.and those of you who have read HERO would recognize the Serpent much more easily if I didn't fail so grandly at so many things.

i'd love to draw more HERO fanarts, but actually each time i draw these characters i see how far away i am from the original comic, and i lost the motivation to finish it

mm the story... well, it's a bit complicated since at this point many things are still a mystery and open to interpretation and speculation n__n; and I don't think I understand everything either.
but my guess so far is that during the war Valentine tried to protect Eira from something using demon magic, which conflicted with the golem magic and resulted in the destruction of Eira... so now Valentine is trying to fix things (but Eira's 'family' won't let him). or... something like this. or it might be nothing like this at all orz
this is the reason why I'm always excited about updates, since each page is a bit closer to the solving of the mystery. I guess we can't be 100% sure about anything before the last page is finished. until then everything is pretty much a guess (:

Yeah, that's a big mystery. It's really unusual that everything in HERO isn't explained like in ordinary manga or something like this.

I think it's one of HERO's charms that things aren't explained (: When characters stop and start explaining things to each other for whole chapters it's really tedious... it's all going to make sense in the end, so why destroy the story with explanations?

Oh no, the nice thing about the Serpent is that his crazy design makes him very very recognizable right away. You did a fantastic job, especially with his fangs and tense, pensive expression.

thank you (: you're right actually... but him being very recognizable makes it only that much easier to mess up. I mean, we've all seen these really messed up Naruto fanarts where you know what you are looking at, but it's just so so wrong.
