My sister's birthday is coming up, and since I suck at giving her gifts, I painted this up for her. She takes me to Alaska every so often, and this summer we had quite a fun bear experience in Lake Clark State Park, hence the bear.Her print will lack my watermark, and will be hand-signed and framed.
Background is a photo I took in the park. Painting itself referenced from my own photos.
Done on Adobe Photoshop CS. Clocked at 10+ hours.

10 hours!? wow,... i don't think i could work on a drawing that long and make it come out like this! as a matter a fact i dont think i would have the decency or patience to even sit their and work on a drawing for 10 hours! XD; but that s me! XP
But i must say your have done such a lovely peice of artwork! everything looks so realistic. The bear is done well!

that back paw which is touching the ground is soo well done! ive always loved how you do paws. And the face! i love how well you get the features to look so perfect in the face, mine always look like they are not really part of the image.

Where abouts is Lake Clark State Park located in AK? I've never heard of it and am just curious x3 (bloo lives in AK btw XP). Heh at least you enjoyed your bear experience, mine have always been less than amusing x3

I'm not sure of the exact location, but it's about a half hour bush plane flight from Homer. XD And you can't really get there any other way.
And it was quite a fun visit. We saw 16 bears in one day, and three of em were less than 20 yards away. X3 *lurves bears*

Most of my experiences with bears have been in my yard x_x...last year a Grizzly and her two cubs broke open my shed to get into the trash -.-''. There have been many other times where they have been just passing by x3. Bears are much more fun away from your house XD.

Just the default brush, on 6 point and 75% hardness. XD It takes awhile, but I think it's worth it.
