Well, I finally grabbed Flash by it's scrawny little neck, and strangled an animation out of it. For the music, ~MonkeyMen chopped up Air's Playground Love for me.It's got a long intro, and I couldn't do everything I wanted because of playback problems, but I hopes you likes it anyhow.

I don't think I have seen such a sobering... well I think animation is too modest. Never-the-less its a beautiful piece.
Its provokes deep emotions.

Oooh, I love it! It's very smooth, I must say. I've only dabbled in flash a few times, and usually quit before I get anything meaningful done because I can't draw with a friggen mouse and I don't have a pen tablet thingy >.> *crosses fingers for Christmas* <.<
Anyway, I never could get the hang of layers. I'd always have something drawn and kind of functioning before I'd think... maybe this part should be on a different layer? Well shit. That's a hassle... and then close the program

The layering in Flash is monumentally stupid. I hate it, and it's part of the reason I haven't made many animations. These days, I use After Effects.

air produces some of the most elegant music. i think this is my favourite visual i have seen that incorporates one of their pieces. i wish you wouldn't give up on flash animations, this one turned out quite wonderfully.

Computers don't bother me (well, not unusually so), it's Flash in particular. Everything about the way it works is topsy-turvy, unintuitive, non-standard, and often just plain stupid. Moving from any normal vector drawing program to Flash is enormously frustrating because of the strange behaviour of objects and strokes. Keyframing is unnecessarily complicated and oddly behaved. Moving the head counts as an undoable action (meaning you have to hit undo twice as much as you would think you should to get back). And to top it all off it's very unstable - it usually crashes a few times an hour on me.
Adobe might have fixed Flash, but I don't know, because CS3 apps won't run on my OSX 10.3 system.

I am really frustrated that animations take so long. That one took me two weeks absolutely solid - all day every day. I just don't have the time for animating anymore. Which is shite and sometimes makes me cry.

I know what you mean. that's why all my animations are either minimalistic, based off actionscript, or humorous so they dont' have to look good.
I know how you feel though, and making games takes ever longer. I made a game a while back called 'storm the house' that took 2 solid weeks + one day of working maybe 12 hour days on it.
