Beautiful. And funny at the same time; I like the idea of Miku serving a chibi!Miku for dessert (plus beautiful + funny is a pretty rare combination). What I adore however, is your shading which looks smooth and soft at the same time! Β There's one little thing that I'll have to nitpick about though: Miku is without a neck. But it's possible it's just me and it should be like that because of the angle.

Thank you! You are correct in this case that Miku appears to be without a neck. It's a little hard to see, but if you zoom in closer, you can notice parts of the collar where the lapels stand up-right instead of lying flat on her collarbones. It's mostly difficult to make out because of the color scheme I used, but that vertical part is Miku's neck. Her dress is high-necked. The folds don't show it very well either because the back of the collar is covered by the rest of her head due to the angle, and thus the high-neck collar doesn't get emphasized. Thanks for telling me! I may try to emphasize the shading before printing it to make it more prominent.
The shading style is adopted from Memipong, who normally leaves all the lines of her pencil sketch in place, whereas I painted over the lines in this case. o uo

Just refering back to my comment on your journal(I personally think this looks wonderful)
If you just added a little bit of more vibrant(maybe minty) green in the hair and eyes as highlights it would pop more(I assume is what those vague non-constructive comments were aiming for) same with bright white on the cake
Although not doing that with the cake makes it more realistic

You don't have to look at it or comment on it if it's boring to you. You don't have to apologize for being mean either. Instead, simply don't be mean.
Different people have different tastes. You might like pictures to be more colorful but a lot of people like colors to be more dull and muted, which happens to be my style. I received at least one comment in the section below that said the viewer enjoyed seeing Miku portrayed in a way that is not bright and colorful.
So it's okay if this picture isn't to your taste and it's okay if you think it's boring. Just keep that to yourself because your taste isn't the only one in this world. Okay? Thanks.
