I guess the couch is a floating couch or something. I also do not know how to draw couches that good. xD The background reminds me of Easter for some reason.

I chose select to see what it does... and when I stopped using it.. I couldn't use the brushes so I had to waste my time selecting everything so that's why the color looks crap. >:I

Select (obviously) selects certain areas you want to work on. Because of it's unremovability, what I used to do was just select the whole canvas, so I could continue working on the whole layer. (I used the Sai trial waaay back then when I had an XP laptop~)
