Our family evolution during the years.
This was made for a contest titled "evolution".
The italian title is "Scarpera, scarpè"

First of all thanks for the fair critique!
Then you are completely right about the different light in the three shots. I should have used manual camera setting to keep them the same. But I was a beginner in a sense and was difficult to keep everything in mind. I adjusted it in post production but, apparentely, not enough

It would be great to explore a different background, as grey seems rather dull. But perhaps even the grey would work well if you perhaps, added a nicer contrast to it too!

The original background is green. I choose it because I thought that white or black wouldn't do as the shoes are black and white too.
Maybe white would have been better.

I saw something similar somwehere on the web (photos of faces of family members) but I still like the idea

Very creative! I like it. There's this feeling of reminiscence, mostly because even though people have grown older and children have been added to the family...there's something in the past the father doesn't want to let go of, something that's made him who he is now. Painted a beautiful picture in my mind, I must say.

Even more interesting is the fact that his shoes actually increase in contrast and newness as the story line appears to progress almost as if we are looking at it from the wrong end.

I was kind of wondering about the white shoes---why do they change to the black shoes in the second photo? I thought maybe it was just another way to show that women buy lots of shoes, but I wasn't sure because the third photo has the same pair of shoes. Did the man get divorced? Sorry if I'm reading too much into things--I'm just a little curious because I have never before seen this concept before. I like finding more about new things.

The third row was the state of the art at the moment the photo was taken.
