There has not been anything, yet his style is very good, as I said, with details and everything else that always make the same kind of shadow and light is lost, even personally if I would see him with another type shading. c:

A skillfully painted piece! Although not as demonstrative in detail as some of your other paintings, the elements present are crisp and colourful enough to present a clean and aesthetic illustration. The character, whose name I don't know and will henceforth be referred to as Bob - Bob the Hedgehog - is drawn with outlines as sharp as the shading, giving Bob a convincing anime appearance. The thin blue highlights on his quills and robes from the wispy lighting around him lend the character a rich, lively palette.
Even though most of the background is shrouded in darkness, I find the stained glass window strikingly vibrant when framed by blackness, especially when its size is accentuated by the narrow dimensions of the image. It's clear that you went to considerable lengths to paint the colours with just the right diversity, texture and tint for the window to catch the viewer's eye with its beauty.
Alas, what really bothers me here is that the picture is simply too dark! Monitor brightness may be a factor here, but I think that however clear the illustration appears to you, I'm afraid it's insufficient for fresh eyes. You said in the description that you completed and submitted this after midnight, which suggests that your eyesight gradually adjusted to the painting in the night and failed to notice that's it's too dark. It's something that affects me too, which is why I usually spend some time away from a painting before submitting it so that I can evaluate its brightness properly.
Improper care here means that the cathedral wall appears as a solid black surface. I didn't even notice the bricks until I read the description! Even the candles floating eerily are less brilliant and effective than the ghosts. Here, I've made a quick adjustment to show you how much better this would look a little brighter, clarifying bother the character and the window: sta.sh/01kgio4n3493
As it is, the darkened image becomes less attractive and weakens the artistic impact. Take the time to view this on other screens to check for consistent clarity. I'm sure that if you resubmit this pic after adjusting the brightness, this pic would really shine. (No pun intended!) Bob would approve.

First of all: thanks a lot for your critique uwu it holds some valid points, thus I updated the picture according to your tips and comments. I hope it looks a little brighter now, sadly I can't check it properly at the very moment >:
In any ways... Bob... XD That'll be Thanatos' nickname from now on I fear, haha x'D Bob the Hedgehog
The stained glass window is the result of a first attempt, and I'm glad that it actually worked out properly in the little time I had to finish this picture. I still wish I would've had more time for this one, because I would have given it an actual picture instead of a rather random, colorful pattern. I even made plans for that, but I quickly figured out that it would've been impossible to get it done properly in time. So that idea is... postponed for now - I will get back to it when I got enough time.
Concerning the darkness: yes, monitor brightness is probably the biggest point here. I made this picture on my laptop, which always seemed much brighter to me than any stationary pc's screen. To be honest I really forgot about that when working on the picture. I didn't finish the picture itself around midnight, but indeed in the late evening after returning home from university. In fact I drew most of this after the sun already set - in combination with an already very bright screen it must've turned out too dark indeed.
In any way, I adjusted the brightness a bit - nonetheless I'll check it once more tomorrow, as it's dark again Seems like that's the only time of the day where I get to work on my pictures lately *sigh*
And admit it, that pun was intended

Yes, that is an improvement. I can actually distinguish the bricks on the wall now. On the subject of monitors, my previous screen was too bright and had an indistinguishable yellow tint, which had a negative effect on my artwork. And the screen before that was too grey, which meant some of my old pics ended up oversaturated to compensate. I didn't want to keep painting off colour, so I sought a replacement screen with an IPS display matrix. IPS displays provide more consistent colours and brightness across the screen, which is essential for serious artists. I believe it's safe to say that I have a more balanced view of my artwork on screen now, so I think it's something you should consider instead of painting on an overlit laptop.

At the moment my first priority is getting a better pc actually, yet I lack the money to buy one. Guess I'll have to live with this laptop for some more time :/

Knuffiges Halloweenbild...?

It was my first try on stained glass windows and I'm also quite happy about how it turned out ;w; I'll definitely use it again some day I think, because it looks nice and is rather easy to do actually .w.; And I also do love the little ghosties >w<;; Thanatos' pets hahaha :'D
I'm also glad to hear that you like Thanatos that much ;w; because he's also one of my personal favourites and I draw him not often enough I guess... he deserves more art! D:
All together... thank you for your sweet comment ;v; I'm really really glad that you like how this one turned out!
