Description Tired of dAmnColors always breaking?
So is everyone else.

I am a strong believer in server-free scripting.
I am also a strong believer in usability.

dAmnColors is lacking in both of these aspects.
Most people don’t understand hex codes.

So I made a new script. A better script.
With a Color Picker. And no server.

Chromacity.
(You’re welcome)

Get it here .

BTW, this is a PUBLIC BETA. There will be ERRORS, there will be GLITCHES.

Do NOT blame me if it fucks up your browser.

By installing this, you accept that there will be risks in using pre-release software, and you are willing to risk complete annihilation because my script is that fucking awesome.

Now more compatible with bots! (thanks to ~plaguethenet for help on this)

EDIT: Wow. Daily Deviation. I never thought. Just, wow. Yeah.

Anyways, on to more coherent thoughts:
I'm working on finalizing the code, then I'll get it on a more stable host.

When that happens, the old script will be modded to tell you that there's an update. Hopefully, I'll be able to get it done in a few days, and I'm hoping the update will roll out smoothly.

Oh, and watch for more scripts, they're coming.

(P.S. - thanks to `electricjonny for pointing out that you need SuperdAmn for this )

For those still looking, Install Chromacity 2.0.0 to fix hidden messagesI've noticed that Chromacity 1.0 appears to be hiding messages from other Chromacity users, and I've decided that for the time being, everybody using it should update to Chromacity 2.0.0 Beta.
The color picker is still broken, and you cannot set your own colors still, but at least it doesn't break all over everything, so I strongly advise you update.
Uninstall Chromacity 1.0
Install Chromacity 2.0.0
Reload dAmn
Edit: Apologies for the issues in Firefox with the link.Β Β dA's link hijacking was fucking with GreaseMonkey.Β Β I've added a workaround which should hopefully fix it.Β Β If not, copy+paste the following into your address bar, and press enter: https://github.com/NuckChorris/Chromacity/raw/master/chromacity.user.js

Any idea on how to disable your colors for everyone else? Sometimes I prefer not to use chromacity, but everyone can still see my colors for some reason.

Have I missed an update for the script, or is it just down indefinitely? I remember there being a fix for my problem once (where the C appears on the left and doesn't do anything) when I was using Firefox a while back but I don't see any comments regarding use of the script in chrome.

If Chromacity has loaded after the intial thing or it says on the bottom of the screen "Chromacity has loaded." look for the rainbow C up in the top right.
You need SuperdAmn for Chromacity to work if you don't have it already (Link provided for you.) and if you already have it, just click on the rainbow C and a colour selector wheel comes up filled with all the colour you could possibly want.

It should generally be the same for FireFox and Chrome users. Had no problems when I did it for both browsers.

ScotlandForLife In reply to AvelosFloof [2011-12-14 14:49:43 +0000 UTC]

Ahhah! The script finally started working for me again today! It worked through every refresh I made on dAmn and and has loaded just about every time (one time it loaded before everything else was so I had to reset the colours but F5'd that shit and it fixed)

I am happy with colours again

What the fuck is wrong with your script, man? It worked fine for a WEEK before it stopped and started crashing my god-damned browser. Now when I tried to revisit the link to re-install it after it crashed my browser again I got a fucking redirection to a PlanetFlow2 node page that tried to install malicious software on my computer. You have 24 hours to get this solution fixed and the link changed before I report it for the attempted intrusion.
